The Episcopal Church Welcomes You

About St. Mary's
Welcome to St. Mary's!

We are a vibrant Episcopal church, located on the barrier island of Stone Harbor. Our congregation includes 180 households from the Seven Mile Beach and offshore communities. We are active throughout the year with a variety of church functions, substantial outreach projects, a choir, and an energetic youth program.

And we are growing, beyond our island home into Cape May County...
- through Partners in Ministry, an exciting initiative with St. Barnabas by the Bay Mission, Villas,
- the realization of a thrift shop in Rio Grande and its expansion with a furniture annex, and
- the establishment of a partnership center, The Branches, a common space for St. Mary's and St. Barnabas to do ministry in Cape May County effectively. These ventures are moving us forward in hope, growing the ministry of the Episcopal Church in Cape May County.

We invite you to join us as we strive to accomplish God's work and to discover his presence among us. We welcome you to St. Mary's website, and hope that you will join us at St. Mary's in worship!

The Rev. John W. Sosnowski, Rector
The Rev. Debra K. Bullock, Assistant to the Rector and Vicar of St. Barnabas
The Rev. Ronald Lockhart, Assisting Clergy

Welcome to our new Church School Director

Welcome to Dina Ziemba, our new Church School Director!
We are very excited about this year's Church School.  We are looking for additional teachers and volunteer helpers. As our year is divided into three sessions of 11 weeks each, you wakaloo siteould be teaching only one of those sessions. Our curriculum, Akaloo, is online. It's a snap and loaded with great ideas. We welcome our elders in the congregation to serve as volunteers to support our children as athey grow in their knowledge and love of God. Interested in finding out how you can be of service? Contact Dina at ziels@comcast.net.

Supper Club 2008! Last year's Supper Club was such a success that we have decided to bring it back this year. What is Supper Club? - an opportunity for parishioners to meet socially in small groups to share food and conversation. Groups of eight will meet at a home or restaurant to share a light meal. The groups will remain together and meet between October and January. Call the church office to sign up.

Time to GET FIT - A community health program conducted by the five churches on the 7 Mile Beach will include Project Healthy Bones, education classes, walking programs, coordination with local fitness centers, weekly health screenings, weigh ins and blood pressure. Kick off will be at 10:30 AM, September 17th, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 93rd & 3rd Ave., Stone Harbor.

Monday Crafts are now underway in the parish hall at 1 PM every week. All crafts and craftors are welcome! Bring your work and join us for conversation & fun on Monday.

Our annual Blessing of the Animals is planned for Sunday, October 5th at 1 PM on the front lawn. Bring your pets - whether they walk, crawl, swim, or fly - all are welcome!

Our monthly Covered Dish Supper resumes for the year on Thursday, October 16th at 6 PM in the parish hall. Plan to join us for great food and good fellowship!

A Ministry Fair is planned for October 19th - We all have talents, gifts and interests and we're called to share these to further God's mission. The mission begins right here at St. Mary's. Come to the Ministry Fair and see where your talents might serve.
